  1. I don’t really like that anyone who uses their iPad app has to be connected to the same home network in order for it to work. It’s almost as if you’re trapped at home. I want an app that works everywhere. From my experience using a similar service called Dish Online on my Mac, I have seen that there really aren’t any computer apps that allow you to watch TV freely. Dish Online lets me watch live TV or recorded shows on my laptop, and I don’t even have to be at home. Just the other day on lunch, a few co-workers at Dish and I were watching the latest episode of Saturday Night Live that I recorded on my laptop. I think the convenience is what makes it so great!
